Im starting AGAIN this week. I am now 13 stone having got down to 12...I stopped going and it was like a green card to eat everything...disgusted with myself and know I need structure so going to go back tomorrow. Anyone else starting?

That's the basic and eat as much speed food as you can. I've fallen by wayside today, myself, husband and kids went into town for the day, ended up in lovely Italian where I had huge bowl pasta (free..who am I kidding...drenched in olive oil),and pesto and bruschetta and large glass of wine. And now I want more wine and am resentful that I can't..I just dont feel I'm done eating or drinking for the night and muller lite yoghurts or fruit just isn't going to work tonightSad

Sounds about right Obsidian Smile

I have lost 36lbs since January......bit more to go and then I need to maintain. Blush

Tis a good plan to follow. Am back to basics this week as I seemed to get a bit cocky and was making lots of stuff and tweaking things too much and put on 1.5lbs over 3 weeks.....so.....

Weetabix, fruit & yoghurt
Chicken salad
Steak and vegetables

I have found that soup is my best friend this weekend, had 2 weddings which I am scared to work out the syns for so made a huge batch of superfree soup that I am living off the rest of the time!

annielostit · 10/08/2015 15:35

36lb calzone that's fab!!

Anyway, first week back and actually made some ground, I sts. Which is really good as l had visitors, indian, beer & full 2 days socialising. It was really good. The trouble is l have to do it all again next week. Me being the visitor then. At least I'm not fatterSmile
Fill myself with free stuff till Saturday and fingers crossed.

Hi can I also join?! I lost with mfp/sw combine after having my son (now 11 months) but holidays and festivities I've put on 7lbs so being pro active and back on it! I'm doing the mfp/sw mix again so I don't overeat (which I tend to do on sw!) I'm doing it online, started yesterday, weighed in at 163 pounds would like to lose 13 pounds ish and be at 150 pounds. Fx! Good luck all!! Grin (Oh I'm 5'6)

annielostit · 10/08/2015 16:30

Hi owl. Good luck.
Do you find mfp-sw combo works well.

Owlysims · 10/08/2015 18:03

Annie, I find that it is the only way sw works for me as if not I take the 'eat what you like' to literally! So mfp makes me think I'll put two eggs into an omelette instead of three...actually divide the recipe that's meant for 4 into 4 etc! So that I maintain a 1200 cal a day! It worked well for me last time!

Susienoz · 11/08/2015 12:42

Hi all. Can I join you. I have started slimming world today from home. I am 10 stone 10 and 5ft 3 and want to lose 2 stone by Xmas. I had so much wine last night I feel ill today. I have been following slimming world on and off but have not taken it seriously. I need to knuckle down now and stop messing about. I'm working afternoons today and have made the beef kofta curry from this months magazine and it smells lovely. Something inside me has clicked and I am determined to start losing weight again. I wish you all luck in your slimming world journey. Xx

China1960 · 11/08/2015 13:28

Hello, can I join you also. Started SW today. I'm 10st 6 lbs & would like to lose 20lbs

maggieryan · 11/08/2015 13:37

How's everyone doing? I'm finding it a bit hard because I'm on holidays from work and kind of feel I want to enjoy myself but enjoying myself got me into this mess. I'm aiming to lose 1 or 1.5lvs this Thur and I'll be happy. Tried that 30 day shred and it was had hard work. Everywhere paining me. Did a lovely beef goulash the other night, it was in slow cooker and it was all free. It was beautiful. Think it was on bbc website. Really filling as well and for once the kids liked it too.

It's hard to break the treat=food isn't it. I don't think I ever will because food is a treat!! I love food ???? sorry not helpful! Your dinner sounded nice though!!

GlitterandSequins · 12/08/2015 10:39

1lb on this week :( Gutted but it's my own fault, I just can't stick to plan even slightly when I'm out and with a summer of birthday meals, weddings and holidays IIa my own worst enemy!

Owlysims - Is it helping using mfp as well? I'm willing to give anything a go to keep me on track and I've heard lots of good things about mfp but I don't want to move away from sw completely.

urquhaj · 12/08/2015 11:23

Can I also join this discussion please? I am new to mumsnet but I am on here looking for advice and support. I am rejoing SW tomorrow night for I think the 5th time since I first joined in June last year.....I have ideally 5 stone to loose so a lot. I have let things get way out of control and I am only 4ft 11. I just can't seem to stick to anything as I want results quickly so I tend to give up when I don't see the results I think I deserve. Also I am a bit of a foodie so while cakes and sweets etc are not a problem for me I like my takeaways at the weekends. I work full time and have 2 young kids so hubby and I feel like by the time Sat night comes we deserve a wee takeaway and a bottle of wine which we all know is the devil in a bottle for your waistline. But I just can't seem to help myself I have no willpower. Recently I was looking back at old photographs of myself and I was so slim. I really want to get that girl back by my 40th in 2 years. I just have to keep reminding myself that its a journey and its not going to happen overnight. Good luck to everyone on their SW journeys and please please any advice or support you can give would be much appreciated as I am compleatley dreading walking through those doors yet again.xx

annielostit · 12/08/2015 12:33

Hi urquhaj, welcome to the club.
Good luck on going back to class and don't worry everyones there for the same reason.
Totally get you on weekend food & drink. I've still got fudge cakes and battenburg cake from last week, but the wine fridge is looking sick!! A heavy weekend with visitors but on good planning managed a maintain.8 pints & 3 bottles later,Hmm
My advice would be, plan well for the week keeping syns to about 5, eat lots of speed & free foods with meals.
That way you could be a little easier on the fri/sat night.
I also like to plan a free meal iinstead of a takeout, but buy nicer things to have with it. Prawns with creamy pasta, a nice curry but make nice raita & nicer salad etc to go with it.
I keep my b choice, then get brown baguette & cut it thinly, & toast, mix up tuna gherkins a little lemon juice I convince myself it's pate.
Takeouts can be OK if you plan them, we tend to share if we get one & pick plain rice & drier curries. Tikka etc & have a sauce on the side.
Well good luck and be kind to yourself. X

Owlysims · 12/08/2015 14:02

Glitter: I find that mfp is the only way I can do slimming world As I would overeat if not!! Using mfp and slimming world means I can use low cal of slimming world to bulk my 1200 I've allowed myself in mfp!

Bluecarrot · 12/08/2015 14:16

I stopped SW for the summer because I wouldn't be able to get to meetings but already up 6lbs in 6 weeks! Less active with dd off school and rubbish weather here.
I also did best on SW when combined with mfp. just got a new phone so need to get it all set up.

Current 12st 10
First goal 12st 2
Second goal 11st 7
Third goal 11st (my official SW goal)
Final goal - tbc but prob not far below 11st. Will know when I get there!

annielostit · 12/08/2015 14:56

Combining mfp with sw is an eye opener for me.
I put yesterdays food in, a good sw day, chilli rice & salad, chicken sw chips & salad some fruit & cereal for breakfast. Approx 1200cals. Today cereal banana, a jacket tuna & salad
OK so far, blipped with extra slice of bread & cheese & now have 500 left for tea. I'm home alone and not 'planned' best do chicken & rice as its free but reflects low calories too.

China1960 · 12/08/2015 18:16

Annielostit, thanks for the good ideas on how to make fake takeaway.

I'm on day 3. not doing too bad. Really want to lose this time instead of faffing about losing and regaining the same 2lbs.
Todays food
bacon & egg
1 slice bread & scrape of peanut butter (synned)
cauliflower rice & kidney beans cooked like singapore noodles
roast chicken & salad.
trying to stay off wine during the week.
Thanks for letting me join on here.

Susienoz · 12/08/2015 19:55

2nd day for me. I was 100% on track yesterday and didn't even have syns. Today I have been on plan too. I'm working afternoons so it's easier when I'm in work. Tomorrow my mum is taking me out for lunch but already decided to have chicken or steak, jp & salad.

What2do1984 · 13/08/2015 20:12

ive just had heinz chilli salsa beans with rice omg it was lush I so hope it was free

Susienoz · 14/08/2015 02:16

Just made my first mistake - thought pepperoni slices would be free but they are not - lucky I had only 4 slices before I realised

farha180 · 14/08/2015 07:22

Hi

I would like to join as well...please.....
It is my second attempt on SW, but have tried every diet.
This time I want to change my life style for ever. I want to live healthy and active life with my kids.

I started on 12.08.15 and my starting weight is 12.6 stone. My target weight is 8.6 stone.

Good Luck to everyone :-

2Muchwine · 14/08/2015 08:22

I am about to start next week. It looks very simple. I am embarrassed to say that I have a huge amount of weight to lose. I looked on the NHS BMI calculator and it says that I need to loose 4 1/2 stone to be a healthy weight.....yikes. A friend has started the super easy plan and I am going to join with her next Tuesday. She told me that wholemeal bread is, "free," with Slimming World. This sounds too good to be true, is it?

Owlysims · 14/08/2015 08:34

No your friends a fibber I'm afraid! You can have a small amount as your HEB or synn it. I just had my first weigh in and lost 5lbs! Whoop! Only 8lbs to go!! Feeling happy I have caught it early this time as I'm only 2 pounds off my original happy weight just want to lose a few extra as insurance ????????

urquhaj · 14/08/2015 09:56

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I weighed in last night and I am the heaviest I have ever been by 1.5lbs. Can't say I was not expecting it but still gutted nonetheless. Hard work starts now.

Breakfast - Warburtons thin (HEB) with lean ham & flora (2.5 syns)

Mid morning snack - Mullerlight youg with mixed berry medley

Lunch - big salad with Bernard Matthews hickory smoked turkey chunks & 1 easy peeler.

Afternoon snacks - Banana & Apple

Dinner - Chinese chicken Curry & rice. made using baked beans???? (never tried this so it's a first. Has anyone else??? I am nervous about it but nothing ventured and all that.

Does this menu sound ok?

Thanks.xx
