Help!!!! 3.5 stone gone and I seem to have slipped back into bad habits.

I've lost 3.5st since may 2014 and I have enjoyed the plan and loved my new figure.
I have one more stone to go and I'm sabotaging myself massively. This week I have gone back to my binge eating ways and consumed a disgusting amount of calories. Part of it could be because my anxiety has come back but I really don't want to ruin my hard work.

I don't really know what I want by posting, just needed to rant and get it off my chest.

I had a phase like this after a couple of weeks on the plan, basically I had to remind myself how good I felt when I was loosing. Learning to draw a line under a bad day has also helped.

Good luck 3.5 stone is great! You can do it

CrumblyMumbly · 22/03/2015 15:59

Hi, I am in the same situation as you. Are you going to the dreaded meetings? I had a relaxed Christmas and now just seem to be gaining and losing the same few pounds! I think you almost have to start again where you write down everything you are eating. The SP may give you a boost - I'm trying to have a few carb free dinners - highly recommend celeriac chips with a few spices on! Can't do it for a whole week though. We love our 'new' bodies so lets keep it that way!

No advice but exactly the same as you - lost 3.5 stone but only 7lbs since christmas & the past 2 weeks have been awful. I've really lapsed back to old ways with biscuit eating, the odd pack of crisps, bread that I've barely touched (& not missed) etc. my only saving grace has been exercise which has kept me in a pretty even keel in the scales but it's so frustrating to get so far but not all the way. I know I need to go back to basics, do a bug shop & meal plan but need to find my lost mojo first Hmm

myotherusernameiswittyandgreat · 23/03/2015 07:18

Phoebe it is definatley a case of a lost mojo. I've done a meal plan this week and I'm starting with the basics.
I tried to book gym classes this week but they are all fully booked. I might dig out my shred dvd.

Crumbly I stopped going to the meetings as they were affecting my confidence. The consultant was being very repetitive and it was getting too competitive. I think I might look for a new group.

Jam you are right. It feels amazing to lose the weight so I just need to remind myself of that Smile

Maybe we're all rebelling against being on a 'diet' and we need to change our mindset that we are just going to make healthy choices from now on. I am trying to 'eat like a thin person' where you don't feel like you failed if you have a nice meal out but eat mindfully the rest of the time - if that makes sense? I have now said I have reached my target weight to take the pressure off (and stop paying!). Maybe we can all try to get those last few pounds off together - or be happy where we are...

myotherusernameiswittyandgreat · 23/03/2015 17:51

Crumbly you speak so much sense, if I had asked 'what would a thin person do' I possibly would have stopped my three day binge.
I've been worried sick about gaining half a stone in one week but I don't even know if I have and so what? I'm happy that I'm slimmer than I used to be and I don't need to put a timescale on it either.

I am going to definitely try your approach SmileFlowers

I'm 4stone 2.5lb lighter and hit a plataue.

I need to loose at least 2 more stone in the next 6 months so need to keep going.

Finding it tough to cut out the treats at the moment.

Planning meals okay, just drinking too much milk in my coffee but I can't manage black coffee, water or herbal tea.

In the evening having one too many treats

Any ideas

CrumblyMumbly · 24/03/2015 14:11

Aw thanks myother - not many people say I talk sense! Luccamum could you drink less coffee or have skimmed milk in it? You could try to allow for treats in the evening. Some people clean their teeth in the early evening to kind of say "no more eating"....not me though! We've really done so well let's not mess it up now. Maybe a shameful photo of ourselves on the fridge or biscuit tin to scare us away! I'm a bit worried about the amount of Easter Eggs that are going to be in the house calling me soon! Be strong everyone - think of our beautiful summer clothes we can buy.

myotherusernameiswittyandgreat · 24/03/2015 20:39

I have been on plan properly for three days now. I'm hoping I'm back into the swing of it Smile

I think I just needed a kick in the backside.
Asking myself what a thin person would do really helps so thank you again.

Also, I thought I was hungry earlier and was thinking of things I could have. I had two apples in the fridge and thought I don't fancy them. I told myself off saying I can't be that hungry if I won't eat an apple.

I think I'm crazy talking to myself but it works Grin

Yay you're back in 'the zone' - well done! I offer my dd fruit when she's hungry but she tends to mean she wants chocolate - so I do the whole "you can't be that hungry then". Should really practice what I preach too...

myotherusernameiswittyandgreat · 25/03/2015 18:55

Crumbly thank you so much. I lost 3lb this week. I can't believe it. I really expected at 6lb gain. I'm so happy. Flowers

Wow I'm a weight loss guru (she says, hiding the easter egg!) I lost 1 and a half - have said I am at my target to take the pressure off (and stop paying too...) Well done - keep going you/we can do it.

Ooh I'm so glad I found this post! I have been struggling for about 6 months, but I desperately don't want to put the weight back on :-(
