Thinking of starting SW today but have a lunch question

Hello! :)

I'm trying to get nice and skinny for my wedding next May. I want to loose about 20kg (or 4st). My BMI is currently 29 so I need it lower to be in the healthy region.

I did the 5:2 diet for a while last year and got great results but it messed up with my period, so i stopped, and really want to try SW. I'm quite active (I play football and run) but I eat too much crap so need something strict to follow.

My only question is this: I work in an office at lunch time with a canteen and no microwave, so I can't heat food up. I'm not a great salad lover, so what would you recommend for lunch every day? I can buy jacket potato's and bits from the canteen but i'm trying to save money for the wedding so would prefer not to have to resort to that!

Thanks :)

Make rice and pasta dishes. Go on the SW website there is loads of recipes

Ryvita as your healthy B with cottage. cheese

Mission Deli mini wraps are 4:5 syns. Pack with chicken, cucumber, onion etc (so not a 'plate' salad) with a measured tablespoon of extra light mayo (1/2 syn)

Tub of cottage cheese & crudités

Big pot of mixed fruit & yoghurt.

Thanks I'll look at some of these.

Do you find SW easy when working in an office? It seems it's tailored to people with lots of time to cook!

It is kind of geared towards cooking, yes.

Pasta salad (rather than lettucey ones) couscous or cold rice dishes, soup and a thermos, SW quiche works cold, or a frittata...use your b choice for a sandwich or ryvita, there are also things like mugshots or noodles in a pot that are free as well if you have hot water, with fruit.

Assume you have a kettle for cuppas - so take mug shots - fruit and booked eggs /packet of ham/chicken
