I've gone from 10st 7lbs to 11st 3lbs in a year and it will not shift. Last week I was ill and barely ate anything for a full week and still did not shift from 11st 3lbs!!! it's almost funny.

Anyway I don't have time to go to classes and can't really afford to join online so I'm wondering if I can follow a diet loosely based on slimming world and still see results?

This morning I've had 2 egg scramble for brekkie with mushrooms and 2 coffees.

Any tips on lunch and dinner?

Also, can you eat ANY ready meals? I'm thinking microwave meals for work x

It's tough but for me NO sugar (I did have fruit fwiw)for 3 weeks and no caffeine either finally saw my muffin top go
I was hideous for 3 days but ok after
Microwave meals etc are worst
Stick with a catch it kill it grow it paleo and it's easy to figure out what you can have
So breakfast was fish/ eggs/spinach
Lunch salad bulked with butternut squash feta etc or jacket potato with salad
Nuts and blueberries to snack
Mint tea or black decaf coffee got hot drinks
I lost 1/2 stone in week...
Dinner was usually home made soup

Ok so I suppose I could half cook a jacket spud and take that to work to finish off in microwave? I'm really not a salad eater (prob explains why Im fat lol) but what topping could I put on a jacket spud? what about tuna with a bit of cheese?

Can you recommend a pasta dish which is easy to put together that I could warm up at work?

Hi bigeyedowl,
You can join in no probs. Lots of nice people here.
Do you know much about sw. Have you followed it before?
You can get sw reasdy meals but its based on fresh. I copied in the basics for you from an other post.

You eat free foods, lean protein, eggs, fish, non fat yogurt fromage frais. Then add free forms of rice pasta grains potatoes , then add in one third of your plate with free vegetables, the more the merrier. Its all free if you don't add fats & oils. And as much fresh or frozen fruit you can eat - but not cooked.
You have 1 portion of milk or cheese a day plus 1 portion of measured fibre rich bread, cereal or cooked fruit a day. These are called healthy extras a & b. One of each.
Snack on any free food you like not just fruit or veg. You might like crab sticks dipped in banana, its free.

You get a treat allowance called syns - between 5 & 15 a day, to spend on wine biscuits chocolate mayonnaise. Anything that's not free or hex choices.

A day could look like,
B - scrambled egg with 60g of wholemeal bread toast, hex b choice.
L- baked potato with big salad, sliced ham & 30g of cheese. Hex a.
D- spaghetti bolognaise followed by fruit salad and 0% yogurt.
Snacks, a banana some crab sticks, a chicken leg all free.
Then a glass of wine 5 syns and a 2 finger KitKat 5.5syns.

And that's the plan!!!!
Does that help?? X

Pasta sauce, a basic tomato sauce of tomato, onion, garlic, mushrooms, bacon. Add some tomato puree & herbs. Season with pepper chilli flakes etc.

Tuna filling for jackets use extra low Mayo onion & sweet corn. Add a bit of salad.
Don't have half a potato, sw allows you to eat real food in portions that are relevant to what you can eat.

Thanks for that Annie. I'm finding it all so confusing and it's difficult as my appetite is poor plus I have so little time to make stuff from scratch.

How do cereals fit in? I like a bowl of rice crispies in a morning, is this a no no? could they be classed as healthy extras?

what about this day menu:

Breakfast - rice crispies, muller light yogurt.

Lunch - jacket spud with a bit of cheese and tuna/mayo. Muller light yogurt

Dinner - spag bol. Alpen light bar.

Glass of wine later on.

What do you reckon? x

Sorry I know you asked about sw which I didn't answer on but I found that for stubborn fat more hardcore but perfectly healthy approach was necessary
To answer your pasta/spud question- I'd avoid all pasta, stick with potatoes as they're real and not created I'm aware I sound like a twat
Tuna is fine
Cheese tiny tiny about
If you don't like salad do you like veg? The microwave ready layered veg is tasty and like a meal
Or recreate the innocent veg pots for yourself
Good luck and enjoy!

The cereal should be fibre rich, weetabix, bran flakes, baby shredded wheat. Approx 30g of them. Whole meal bread is 60g.
Personally I've used white bread and products not listed or "allowed". Weigh the krispies 30,g and see how you get on. Weigh the cheese as well, if you have 30g you have to count milk in syns
Technically any diet is based on calories in v calories out, no matter how the wrap it up or like sw simplify it.
I only have 10lb ish to get rid of as well, take it slowly, & don't beat yourself up.

Chchchchganging, not a TWA!! True I find too much pasta difficult. Once a week Max for me.

I'm on a mission to go from 11stone 12 to about 11 stone 3.
I'm six feet tall and my middle is expanding. Hate it.
So I'm having porridge for breakfast, lots if veg and protein.
I know I can do it....have done it before
