Advice is to keep them in your room until they are 6 months

If it feels too soon and you are all happy then leave things as they are

The cot death advice is to keep them in your room until at least six months, as this helps reduce the risk.

We moved DS just before his first birthday (before then we were in a one-bed flat, when we moved he got his own room) and it worked really well, he was happy and settled well.

both mine were around 7/8 months when they moved

Are we bad parents?! My DS was in his own room at 3wks. But then again our house is not enormous (he's about 5 steps away) and his trumping was keeping us awake!

Our DS was 7 weeks and his elephant like shrieks and general squeekieness kept us awake inbetween feeds, pukes and nappy changes!!! Looking back on those nights- it does get better! We are only the otherside of the wall from him so not far away.
