please can anyone offer any advice. i have a 5mth old son, 8lb born and 20lb now who i solely breastfed as he just will not have a bottle. goes to sleep at the breast evry time he naps and at bedtime. he has 3 half hr naps between wakin around 7 and going to bed around 7. i alwys get him to sleep in his cot with me lay feedin him. his bedtime rutine has always been different from his daytime routine ie shutting the curtains and using a different blanket for bedtime. my problem is that after going to bed he will sleep for 30mins n then i have to go back up to let him fall asleep at the breast. this can take around 30 mins and i may have repeat this 3 or 4 times. its not hunger as he is now on solids at bedtime and he empties me b4 he goes to sleep. he wont have a dummy and i cant let him cry it out as i hate to hear him cry and we have a 2yr old who he wakes. thank u.

Hi
Not sure if this would suit you but having recently been through a very similar situation as you I ended up letting my ds sleep on my nap downstairs until I went to bed. Just seemed easier than fighting it!! We are through that phase now and he is becoming more self reliant and settles himself when he wakes although I still feed him to sleep initially. He is 18mo now and things had improved by 12mo and have got continually better since then.
My ds wouldn't take a bottle or a dummy either
