3 week old and day time sleeping

DS is 3 weeks tomorrow and breast fed, apart from recently having 10pm formula feed.

At night he feeds and then settles in his moses basket, know we are lucky

In the day he feeds (for about an hour) and then cries until basically he is fed again and then cries again etc etc.

Today he was awake from 8am until 4pm doing this. He drops off for 10 minutes after a feed but wakes crying

Tried sling (sometimes successful but not on me ), pram (doesnt work) and car (works until the car stops moving).

Anyone any tips for settling him or know if this is normal?

Tried swaddling, no joy and its very warm. Tried dummy and he wont take it.

I have 2.4 year old DD so it feels a bit unfair to her, unless this is a stage and I have just forgotten

Sosund like he is hungry, that's why he cann't sleep.

was worried that, am feeding on demand which is pretty constant and making sure he reaches hind milk etc, half hour each side. Normally feeding for an hour and within an hour off again.

He is putting weight on well but has been unsettled since day 10 so 10 days ago now, he seems constantly hungry except at night.

AM wondering if should always offer formula top ups?

Wanted to breast feed for his health benefits etc but dont want him hungry and unhappy all day

I cant express, I hate it (painful) and find it too much with a toddler in tow.

Am seeing HV tomorrow so will mention it, he was so happy for first 10 days too
