Static black outs - the perfect thing?

hello - using Mumsnet for first time

I have seen in a catalogue some black out sheets that stick to windows by static and can be cut to size. Sounds like the perfect solution to going on holiday and all the different sized windows you find on arrival but they are quite expensive and might not stick or re-use

anyone tried them and do they work

I have not tried the black out sheets but I bought some lengths of blackout fabric from ebay and when we go away I take them together with some pegs and rig it up to the curtains.

Here is a link to some on ebay I think I have 3m cut into 3 1m legths. It works really well and is a cheap solution.
