The 3 pronged attack

DD1 (3.5) is going through an early waking phase. She fights sleep. She hates going to bed, wakes up early and refuses to go back to sleep, in her bed or mine. DH has moved out of the marital bed (separate rant) to avoid the early mornings. Today is the start of the 3 pronged attack against this early rising.
1- Gro-anywhere blind- total blackout
2- Gro to sleep clock (lots of explaining about stars/ sun before bed hysteria tonight)
3- wake to sleep (also give me a chance to check her bedding etc) an hour before appointed morning hell

Wish me luck!- It's a sodding expensive business...

no one is aloud to be up before 6 am in our house.

how did it go?
does that wake to sleep thing work?

we got an extra 20 minutes... it's pitch black in there but the birds were super noisy this morning.
watch this space- by the end of the week I'm aiming for an extra hour- she gets so grumpy when she's tired (as do I!!)
not sure either of us love the wake to sleep thing though- she panics at being woken up in the middle of the night and I can't get back to sleep because of all the chirpy birds...
We'll persevere for the next couple of nights though!
(my DD2 -just 2- is still asleep at 9am having gone to bed at 7 last night and will still sleep for an hour at lunch time... she's never up before 8!, oh for 2 like that!
