Help 2yo learnt how to get out of cot

My DD, 2 years old, has started climbing out of her cot. We put her into a bed but no better so went back to the cot. When we put her to bed at bedtime she gets up about 30 times before going to sleep and every night this week she has been up for 2 to 3 hours in the middle of the night (I am not joking). She gets out and starts wandering around. I keep putting her back in but she gets straight back out. Has anyone any ideas? tried the reward/sticker chart - makes no difference...nothing will persuade her to stay put. Please help!

Put her in a bed. Put a stairgate on the door, put anything dangerous out of reach.
My ds is 22 months and went into a bed last week for the same reason, he would just climb out of his cot. He's had a couple of nights of getting up, but all he can reach is his books, so he will generally look at them, then decide he is tired and get himself back into bed. So far, if he gets out of bed, I ignore it. He soon gets back in.

Well no.
My grandad put it up and for some reason left about a 20cm gap at the bottom. He crawls under that instead
I'm moving it this weekend It has occured to me that if he can vault out of his cot he will probably be able to climb over a stairgate too. But tbh, he is that kind of baby. He's been escaping from things since he could crawl
