my dd is an awful sleeper, mostly due to relux. She is my 3rd with it but is by far the worst sleeper.

last night i fed her at 10.15. She woke at 1.30 but was happy to have her dummy. Woke again at 2.30 and had 50mls milk.

She then woke at 3.30 but quickly went back to sleep with her dummy

woke again at 4.30 but didn't go back to sleep until nearly 5.30 despite offering her a dummy, some water and a cuddle. In the end she came into my bed and that was why she fell back to sleep - otherwise i think that she would have not gone back to sleep at all!

What am i doing wrong?

None of my others were like her. she sleeps nicely during the day but night times are awful

HELP!!!

Poor you, sounds hard. Reflux is a nightmare. You sound experienced with it though - do you do the usual stuff like elevate the head of the cot?

Are you keeping her relatively upright when she sleeps? My DS slept like this until he could roll over: images.yogee.com.au/M5598_d_2.jpg

Bear in mind that 15 weeks is the cusp of the huge 4 month growth spurt.

Hi Jibbs
My 13 week DD also has severe reflux. Have you have medication prescribed for her? We have Infant Gaviscon which we add to EVERY feed, Motillium and Omaprozal (or something spelt similar!) and this has helped us amazingly. We also use C&G Comfort milk which is thicker to help with the reflux - what we did find though is that at first we used Dr Brown bottles with the Comfort and then Avent number 2 teats but discovered that she wasn't getting enought of the milk out, we assumed she wasn't hungry but in the end found the Avent thicker solution teats and then she started feeding much better and then sleeping through the night more or less (with a dream feed).
We raise her cot, we keep up upright for 30 mins during the day (not at the dream feed or v.early am) and also use a baby mattress/wedge also.
Sorry if you already know all of this, but I thought it might help.

my 3 and a half month old boy slept from 9pm til 7am for nearly 2 weeks.all of a sudden,he's stopped, and wakes several times a night,i've tried dummies,a bottle, then no bottle the next night, don't know whats going on,was so happy all 3 boys were going to bed the same time and getting up the same time,so whats happened?my friends baby had reflux, she seems to think mine could have it cos he's always a little sick with his burps.she gave me some gaviscon infant to try, should i?he is dribbling a bit and bitting my fingers,so could it be teeth?or is it too early for that?any ideas welcome.

Hi jibbs. My DS has reflux and was a terrible sleeper. He started to improve at 10-11 weeks then hit the 12 week growth spurt... Then the 4-5 month spurt and his sleep went haywire. He's back on track at 6 months.

I think reflux peaks between 4-6 months so perhaps that isn't helping? Combined with the growth spurt(s) and developmental leaps I'm guessing this is why sleepis haywire?

As you're already experienced with reflux, I assume you've got the medication etc etc?
