4.5 month old waking up at 5am

my dd is rather keen on waking up around 5am every morning. she chats away and rolls over etc. she never cries for food and since she started teething she always has her hand in her mouth!! which was always my cue.

i have tried lots of different things to get her to wake later. feeding her at 5 and settling her back - didnt want to sleep. pushing bed time, which currently is 6.30 to past 7 - but she craves sleep around 6 and cant seem to push her later. even when she did go to sleep at 7 one night with a full feed she still woke up at 5.45!!!

she has three naps in day ( some times 2) and has between 2.5 and 3.5 hours in the day sleep.

i wouldn't mind if it was 6 - thats fair enough! but 5am is killing me and since she learnt to roll over ( but cant roll back) i cant just leave her chatting!! is it a teething thing? as she is a sweet baby and doesn't fuss so maybe that is the cause.

any suggestions/experiences be really helpful to me. read loads round this and thinking maybe this is just her pattern. agggh!!!! it means she is knackered again by 7.30 though, which means for a disjointed day for her and me!!

not much help i'm afraid - ds the same (6months) - he has been awake since 5:45 this morning with some futile attempts by me to get him back to sleep! he's trying to crawl though so busy busy!

watching the thread for ideas .

IME, and I'm on my 3rd dc, this is really normal and just something they grow out of over time. Blackout blinds may help. Also if you are putting her down for the night at 6 she is having her 11 hours which is about average for her age.

Put her bedtime back a bit, I know its hard but push it back by 5 minutes every couple of days til she is going down at 7ish
