crawling in her sleep - how to settle

DD is 8.5 months and just starting to crawl. Down side is she now cries several times in the night - and is on hands and knees crawling in her cot. Sometimes she doesn't even seem to be properly awake.

Best way to settle her? Cuddle to sort of restrain the flailing limbs a bit. Or dummy in, onto side and leave. What do you think? Semms if we fuss too much she gets properly awake then has a big meltdown cos she's knackered.

Many thanks for tips!

Also, how long does this phase usually last ;)

Poor little thing! My DD did the standing up in cot thing. I would just leave her, or if you can't bear it, lay her down then leave her.
