20 month old losing comforter

My 20 month son is a fantastic sleeper except at the moment he seems to be waking 2-3 times a night when he loses his comforter down the side of the cot. All it requires is one of us going in to reunite them but it would be great to have a full nights sleep. We have tried using a popper to attach the comforter to his sleeping bag but he just pulls it off. I thought a nightlight might help to allow him to find it himself but my husband hates this idea as he worrys it will make him afraid of the dark. Has anyone got any suggestions please!

My daughter still has a dummy to sleep at 2 and a half years old. As I go to bed, I go in and put 2 extra dummy's in her bed, near her hands/ head. Works a treat as she can always find one.

She does also have a nightlight too.

My friend kept the cot bumper on for a long long time, so the dummy's didn't fall down the side of cot

I suppose you could go cold turkey but I'm planning on the dummy fairy idea when she turns age 3

Is it a comforter your son is losing or the dummy? You could try www.sleepytot.com for their dummy savers maybe?

Or else buy a few more comforters and place them in all four corners of the cot?
