black out things to stick on windows?

Hello - can anyone advise me if/where I can get black out "blinds" that you actually stick on windows? I have just got black out roller blinds for childrens' bedroom, and they are hopeless. The light at about 6.30am is waking my 1 yo who is in turn waking up my 2 yo (they are sharing a room). I think effective black out blinds would make a real difference, if anyone knows where to get them?

Many thanks

I don't know where you get them but what I did was get a spring loaded pole thing that you jam in the aperture and then I bought some black out fabric and sewed along the top and slotted the pole through. It's RIGHT next to the window and I am getting an hour and a hlaf extra sleep now

I haven't tried them yet but have exactly the same problem and am planning to get Easyblinds. www.easyblindsonline.co.uk/

Jo Jo Maman Bebe catalogue had some that were on a roll and stuck to the window with static (haven't tried them though)

We have the Baa Baa blind which uses suction cups and that works pretty well

I find www.easyblindsonline.co.uk the best.

Ahh, they look like they might be a solution for me too - the DSs' room has Velux windows and blackout blinds for these cost upwards of £70 each! I had though of velcroing blackout fabric to the window but these blind things look ideal.

i just put velcro on the window frame ane blackout material. it works a treat

Another vote for blackout material cut to size and velcro.
Makes my dcs' bedroom totally pitch black.
Made bugger all difference to ds2's early waking, unfortunately.
