Does a one year old need a pillow?

I know they can have a pillow, but don't whether they need one iyswim. How do I tell whether I should get one for DS?

I got one for DS but he doesn't use it at all. I think they are fine without one - their heads are bigger than ours remember.

I would probably get him one when he goes into a bed, save buying a silly small cot sized one, what a waste of money!

We've got a cotbed, so it will hopefully last him for a quite a few years yet. I hadn't thought about the size issue!

ds had a normal sized pillow in his cot - no need to buy a special cot sized one
