I do not know what to do with ds2, just 2 years old. He just doesn't seem to want or need sleep, but I do!
Last night (a fairly typical one) I put him and ds1 to bed at 6.45. They share a room. Ds1 was straight asleep. Ds2 was awake until 8.30 - playing a bit, stripping off 3 times, throwing books, shouting and singing, poking ds1 to try and wake him.
He finally went to sleep then woke up at 2.30 am seemingly ready to start the day. He ran around a lot, tried to turn on lights, play with toys. I kept putting him back to bed, but he wouldn't get the message. He finally fell asleep at about 5am, waking to start the day at 6am.
I have a stairgate across their bedroom door but open it when I go to bed so that ds1 can get out to go to the loo in the night.
He moved from a cot to a bed a few weeks ago (because he was climbing out) and his sleep has been worse than ever since then. He seems to be enjoying his new found freedom a bit too much.
He's too young to 'get' the bunny clock imo.
And words of wisdom would be appreciated.
