Roliing into side of cot

I've just moved my 15 week old into her cot as she was getting pretty big for her moses basket and banging her arms on the side - unfortunately she learnt how to roll at the same time.

Now she's waking up at 5 every morning crying with her arm trapped in between the slats on the cot as she's rolled onto her side (before we moved her she'd sleep through til 7).

Does anyone have any ideas how to avoid this? she sleeps in a grobag and have tucked a blanket over the top in at both sides but she manages to wriggle free.

Should i try cot bumpers? am slightly worried about stories of babies rolling into them and suffocating as they can't roll back - as she will roll over. Thanks for any advice

if she's rolling into them and getting stuck them I wouldn't go for the cot bumpers.

It's a phase i'm afraid - there's not really a lot you can do about it. DS used to wake up with his legs through the bars.. but it was short lived.

We had exactly the same problem. Twas most irritating. PATCDS is right about it being a phase but in the meantime you could try an AirWrap. It is a very thin bumper which you can breathe through. We used it for our DS and it worked a treat. Now it keeps him occupied in the mornings whilst he tries to pull it down!

I second the airwrap - even though it's incredibly plain, DS loves staring and pulling at it!

ah, I knew something like that had to exist! Very useful for potential second offspring, thank you

Thanks for advice - am going to try heavier grobag tonight to seee if that helps & if not will go for the air wrap
