Hi all,

I had this really scarry dream last night. First of all my dad was in it and he was angry that my sister didn't care that he was on his death bed ( he is perfectly healthy in real) then as we were walking we ended up in the back garden and there was 100s of snakes and they were trying to bite me, my sister got away, I was trying to get away for ages but they kept following me and nipping at me just as I got to the back door a snake bit me, then I woke up.

Does anybody know what this means? It's really bothering me.

Thank you

Well, if you look online you'll probably find lots of different possibilities but snakes are usually to do with sex... Not sure what that would mean in this context.

The stuff with your dad could be about your fears or could even be an interpretation of something that you saw or read yesterday.

Nobody knows what dreams are. The only thing we know is that they are random synaptic firing. I think all of the meaning comes from what you attach to the images/words/memories caused by the trace memory of the synapse. And as humans we don't like random, we like the world to make sense, so we turn the frankly mad and random sequence of images into a bizarre story. And if you have specific fears or thoughts or are in a certain mood or affected by the things around you, this informs how you interpret them iyswim.
