sleep problems

hi I'm kodit's DW and I'm getting very stressed about our 12 week old DS. He will only sleep in his pram in our unheated hallway during the day (which is fine). i watch for him yawning and rubbing his eyes and then put him down for a nap. He can only stay awake for about an hour before he needs a nap. is this normal for his age?

Also, we co-sleep at night, but on Friday and Saturday nights he went to sleep (in the pram) at 6.30pm and slept until 10.30pm! So we were thinking of trying to get him to sleep for at least the evening in his cot (which he has never done). I'm really worried it will be a nightmare though - is he too young for this kind of 'training'? I can't stand to hear him cry.

Not too young at all but then I'm a routine queen. It depends if you're happy with the way things are co-sleeping. If you are then don't change it, it sounds as if it's going ok for now.

Also staying awake for around an hour at a time is quite normal at this age.
