Hello, DD 7m been sleeping next to me on outside of the bed, using a Lindam bed rail till now (clearly states on it not for under 18months old) anyway soon she'll be able to crawl round it or pull up and topple over edge. Will put our own mattress on floor but what about holiday accommodation? Is it ok to have bed up against wall now or have her sleep between us now? (DH never slept with her before) Any ideas gratefully received. thanks

I'd put her between me & wall. Has worked well enough in past. Good luck.

Between you and the wall. That's what I did with dd. Bed flush against wall and a towel rolled lengthways and rested against the wall (even though the gap was mms at most).

Co-slept with DD since birth and have faced this one a fair few times at relatives' houses and on holiday. We've either pulled the mattress onto the floor at night (and put it back on during the day if possible) or DD has slept either between us or against the wall. We've done this even since she's been able to crawl and subsequently walk and I've always found that if ever she's woken up before me (and she is trying to make a move out of the bed) I've always woken up with her. I think that's one of the good things about co-sleeping is you tend to be fairly in-tune with them. (oh and for naps during the day we've taken a futon pad or little airbed for her to sleep on on the floor). HTH

i co sleep at home and holiday using the lindam bed rail. my dd tends to snuggle into me and when she wakes sits up. Shes 14mths, walking and very much the climber. my middle daughter also used to co-sleep and comes in most night and she never feel out or climbed over either.

I always took the bed rails with me, and had a set that lived at my mum's.
