strange things to take to bed ...

A light-hearted thread for a serious topic. I'm sure DS1 (2.4) isn't the only one to insist on taking bizarre things to bed with him, so share your favourites here. We do try and extract them from the bed once he's asleep!

Recently he has insisted on taking one or more of the following:

his toothbrush
his tube of toothpaste
foam letter q from bath letters set
fish-shaped shower radio

Oh and he likes to sleep in his dressing gown as well as PJs - the house isn't that cold, honest.

not sure mine are as amusing
ds1 used to take
a vest in case he got cold in the night

ds3 keeps wanting to take knobbly things like megabloks and jigsaw pieces which he has named

Mine are older (10, 8 and 7) but they take marbles, pens, shells, laser guns, and socks to bed.

My 10 year old DD keeps a huge load of pointy uncomfortable stuff under her pillow. Some of the things she squirrels are so bizarre I couldn't even tell you wha tthey are - like parts of old toys.

DS once had a wing mirror stashed down the edge of his bed - he found it on way home from school and put it in his bag.

All of last week DS (2.3) had to sleep with a Thomas the Tank Engine badge (one of the pinless ones) and a bracelet of mine.
