DS does not sleep!!

Wakes at about 4 or 4.30, cmes in with me, feeds/dozes until about 5.30 or 6. Today he has had 45 minutes sleep at nursery. did the usual, running around, playing outside etc. He is lying, wide awake in bed, wingeing because he is wide awake and not tired.
HOW??

How old is he? I feel your pain ds used to be like this, well he used to sleep 9-2 maybe and then be awake until 5am and then sleep until 630. It was hell.
