Hi there ladies.

Just got back from Oz two days ago back to freezing London. Our ds woke up at 2am the first night, which I expected as it was what happened when we arrived to Oz. Last night though, instead of waking up a bit later, he got up at 1am and wouldn't go back to sleep at all. Both nights I put him to sleep around 7.30pm his normal time. What was your experience? Any good tips? Btw he runs around the living room now kicking a ball.

No tips but sympathy. I do the trip each year NZ to London and back with 2 littlies on my own. What works one year doesn't work the next! If you're not working and have one child just go with the flow, it rarely last more than a week if you tire them out!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of activities during the day, book reading and sky TV (dare I say it on Mumsnet ) and whatever it takes to keep them quite and chilled at night. Then full on activities during the day. They do come right, sadly quicker than you will

Thanks sibble. It was better last night. He got up at 3am and then fell asleep with me for another hour. Thanks for your tips, I'll go with the flow. Although it's harder here in London than in Oz. There we could go out to the beach and stuff. Here we are freezing and the dark night is so loooong!
Btw how do you cope with two little ones on your own?
