my ds doesnt sleep well and has only just stopped bfeeding

I was wondering if what i just did was ok
Instead of bfeeding i held him in my arms patting his back assuringly whilst he was crying for breast milk, normally it takes ages to get him to sleep usually with dvd or tv or riding in the car round the block, although the car works i was thinking its not gonna teach him to go to sleep in bedroom naturally without boob,

he was crying as loud as he could but fell alseep doing it
????? is this right to just let him cry like this as ive heard ur supposed to leave them in the room an cry as well???

from a confused but able to sleep tonight mum

I think that is fine - its whatever works for you, anyway. There is a useful artice by Jay Gordon on night weaning - I think there is a link to it on the thread in breast and bottle feeding about the need for nighttime feeds after 6 months.

Personally I always hated doing cc, but felt much happier if DD (now 2.5) had cuddles/dummy/ music etc but no feeds for example. Well done for bf for so long!

it did work for me but just felt bad cause he was crying for a bit, but like i said ive heard u leave them for a bit and go check on them with an added five minute gap between, but in my case i did it with me holding him,

Thanks for the link info i'l check it out asap
