OK I know this sounds really peculiar, but I think my 23 mo DS may be sleepwalking.
He's done similar things a few times over the last few weeks, but today was pretty typical...He woke up from his daytime sleep ages earlier than I was expecting him to, came out of the bedroom and sat on my lap, wandered around a bit, got a bscuit to give to the dog, but then just stood there staring at the bookshelves with the biscuit in his had for a minute or so, not responding when I called him, then suddenly seemed to 'wake up', looked around him and burst into floods of tears saying 'asleep, scared'.
Am I being completely mad, or has anyone else had experience of/heard of this? What causes it and what should I do?
