my DD has been waking more and more overnight for the past few weeks and got her first tooth last saturday. she used to go down at 7ish and wake once or twice before getting up at about 6am. now she wakes every hour and a half/2 hours. she's easy to re-settle and i've only been feeding her every other time, so she's going 3 or 4 hours between feeds, but still waking up increasingly frequently. is this just teething? and if so, any idea how long it'll last - i'm starting to lose the plot!! thanks

Oh dear poor you. It could be teething but I've always found it difficult to tell so might be worth checking out with the GP/HV if you continue to be worried? I've got a nearly 4 mo old too who I think is teething. His brother and sister got teeth around this age so am assuming this is what it is. He's v. difficult to settle in the cot at the moment and has been in the bed next to me alot instead... As I remember with my older 2, teething pain comes and goes and it's only after the tooth appears that you think 'oh so that's why he/she was out of sorts'.
