does lo need a nap?

has always naped and is now 2 and 4 months old

put down after lunch/milk - still demands milk and sleeps two hours so i fugure needs it

if does not nap is utter nightmare and stumbles

bedtime thus when wakes up 5:30 is 8:30-9:00

suits us so sees hubby

but is it bad routine? and also does not instantly fall asleep in eve

without nap the odd day i have tried it he is so cranky in afternoon and seems ot not make huge difference to nighttime sleep

opinions? advice?

Yes ds2 (2 and 1 month) still naps for at least two hours each afternoon. And he still goes to bed about 7/7.30.

If he doesn't have a nap he gets cranky too. Stick with it, if it suits you all! Some people just need more sleep than others.

My DS2 napped until 3 1/2 for 2 hours every afternoon. It didn't affect his nighttime sleep at all and he slept 8pm-8am every night. DS1 gave naps up at 2 1/2. All children are different. If he needs sleep in the daytime, let him. Gives you a break also!
