Moving into cot/own room

Hi long time lurker, first time poster here.

We have discovered with our 11 week DD that she sleeps best when someone else is in the room with her.

For her long afternoon nap I am in the room either reading or sleeping and at night we are obviously all asleep.

If I leave the room during her afternoon nap (after first sleep cycle) then she doesn't sleep for more than 40 minutes (her usual is 2-3 hours as she cat naps in the morning)

Any advice on how to ease her into her own room and cot? Am trying putting the MB in the cot but seems to not make any difference.

Am I just going to have to tough it out with screaming for the next few days/weeks/months?
