Just had to put DD is her own room she is only 10 weeks but is too big for the moses basket and we have no room in our bedroom for a cot.

She actually slept really well, much better than in our room. I woke a couple of times in the night and went in to check on her, both times i disturbed her and she ended up awake.

just wondered if anyone had advice on a monitor which i would be able to hear her breathing on? ours does not have great sound and no chance of hearing her breaths so i feel i have to go in and see her.

Ha, you sound like I used to (ds now 18 mths but still have heart in mouth when I wake up before him in the mornings!). You can get alarms which go under their mattress which will go off (in your room obv) if they stop breathing for more than x time. Sadly not sure what its called - Angel something. I didn't have one but even more neurotic than me (richer then) friend did. Would this help? I spent most of his first week in own room stood on the landing,

thanks for the reply, they are called angel care monitors i think. I have a friend who had one but had a couple of false alarms which i think may make my paranoia worse

dd1 went in her own room when she was 6 weeks and i never worried really i dont know why im so much more worried with dd2 perhaps cause im older and more informed about risks and worries hmmm

DS went in his own room when he was 9 weeks old, and we all slpet a lot better. We had an Angel Care monitor, but the sound quality was so bad, that we replaced it with a "normal" Philips one.
