average amount of sleep a 9 yr old boy needs?

im only asking as dss behavior has deteriated some what recently and i think it is possible that his bedtime has some thing to do with (though i realise not all to do with it) with 2 younger siblings we are all up early as a house hold around 6-7 note this is early for dss as at his mothers they are very late risers

No idea for 9 yo. But my nearly 7yo sleeps from about 8pm to 6ish. He sometimes wakes earlier, but from 6:30 is allowed to switch on the light and read quietly, and then he can come in to our room from 7am.

What times does yours go to bed?

9 o'clock but thats not my doing dh lets him our two are in bed at 6.30 and 6.45

Mine sleeps from about 9.30pm to 7.30am.
