Big bed for Christmas...

Dd1 wants a big bed for Christmas. The ILs have already said they will get her one so no problem there.

She will be nearly 2.4 at xmas and is currently in cotbed with duvet and pillow.

But.. what to do about giving it to her?
Would xmas eve/xmas night be a silly time for such a big change?

Ideas please.

I wish my LO would request such useful presents for xmas! Is she is in cotbed with sides on? The transisition from cotbed to big bed would be better if she could sleep with sides off for a bit.

We've just taken the sides off our cotbed (DS is 2.2) and 1st night slept through, 2nd night crept into our room without us knowing and slept in our bed! tonight, he's been up and down like a yo yo - will try v hard to get him back in his own bed if he wakes. We'll be using his cot bed til he's about 5 though.

Could always have big bed early and get new duvet set for xmas - still exciting and a lot less hassle on xmas day!
