Cry-it-out is a no no and controlled crying dubious before one year but why??

I have fuzzy recollections of cc being controversial and CIO even more so but in my totally sleep deprived state I can't remember why... anyone?

There are other ways of getting sleep if you're creative.

Hi Moonlight, thanks for replying, I think you're on that looong thread, unless you just have a similar celestial name?!

I tried Tracey Hogg's pick up put down thing and we both ended up sobbing and DS (11 months) was profusely sick. If PUPD is a 'middle ground' as the author suggests, then there is no way I can CC or CIO. Last night was physically painful, hearing him cry after 11 months of every need met as and when they arise!

Definately not for me!
