flailing about in cot!!

My 4 month DS flails about in his cot so much - I think its wind. Pulls knees up and throws them back down with force. Also crunches up and rolls over almost trying to eat the mattress - needless to say this also prevents him from sleeping! Has anyone else experienced this?? and does it settle down??

dd used to do the leg thing but I think it was part of her self settling rather than a wind problem

my 9month ds is doing this all the time now and he gets in such positions, legs through bars, squashed in the corner, sometimes he just falls asleep but usually i have to get in and re arrange him and then he finally goes of to sleep.
