One year old suddenly having disturbed sleep- thoughts?

My dd, 13 months, has until recently been a great sleeper. She has 2-2.5 hour naps a day and is happy to go to bed but after suffering from tonsilitis a few weeks ago she has started waking up screaming several times a night. Naturally I'm a little concerned, and very keen to knock it on the head.

Thoughts suggestions and success stories gratefully received.

Molars causing pain below the gum, starting to walk/talk/follow instructions/process sequences/etc. are all candidates. Especially the molars.
