Day sleeps

My little one is adjusting to dropping down to one day sleep. How long should he sleep during the day? I normally put him down after lunch and he will have 1 1/2 hours. Is this enough sleep?
He is 14 months old.
Most days wakes around 7am and sometimes 8.30am.
I am finding she is tired in the afternoon.

Sounds ok to me really, my children never napped longer than 1.5hours and you can force it to be longer. I guess you just have to make your routine so that you can spend most time with him in the afternoon when he might need a bit more cuddling, stories etc. And maybe make bedtime a little earlier.

I sometimes would do a play bath late afternoon when my LO's were tiny, it gave them a focus, they could snack in the bath, it refreshed them and then after dinner they only needed a top up clean and would be ready for bed a little earlier.

Curiously, I would sometimes find that an earlier bedtime didn't mean they woke earlier.
