Co-sleeping with a restless baby

We started co-sleeping about 4 months ago when DS was 6 months. DOn't know why I didn't do it sooner as he slept through almost from night 1.

Anyway, he's 10 months now and for the last 2 weeks or so has become really restless around 1 am lasting for between 2 and 3 hours. He tosses and turns, sits up in bed, lands on top of me, cries out and generally gives us a night of disturbed sleep. Sometimes he moves around so much he does eventually wake himself up.

He's cutting 3 teeth at the moment but everyone keeps telling me that shouldn't wake him or disturb him during the night.

Do/did you baby do this when co-sleeping? I am back to being knackered!

Hello, my nearly 10mth old is unbelievably fidgety. He is also teething madly, and IME (it affected dd the same way) it makes them awake. And restless. And hard to get them to sleep. Am trying to just ride it out but is v annoying I know. Dd was in a cot though and just as annoying - she'd move all round, stand up, fall over, cry... I do put ds in his cot to chill out a bit if he is really crazily wanting to move.

(btw at sleeping through)

Thanks for that. We were totally gobsmacked with the sleeping too. We only started because he took a pretty serious chest infection on Boxing Day and just wanted to be hugged so I slept with him. On about night 4 he slept right through and it was bliss!

Hoping it is his teeth. Number 4 at the top is just looking like it is on its way too.
