No cry sleep solution for toddlers - any experience?

Have got the NCSS for babies, but considering getting the next one, as ds, at 16 months, is showing no signs of changing his sleeping habits.

Some of the stuff in the baby one is probably relevant, but I keep procrastinating and never actually implementing change - I'm too knackered to do that!

Ds co-sleeps with us from whenever he first wakes up after he goes down - can be any time from 10:30pm to 3am. He then wakes several times after this - sometimes goes back ok, sometimes not, but is also quite a restless sleeper (throws arms around etc.) so even when he's asleep he still manages to make sure I don't get much sleep. I can't believe I've had 16 months of this.

We used the NCSS for babies and then the NCSS for toddlers. There isn't one for school children I love the books. I love Elizabeth Pantley. I want to be in her world. In my world, sadly, neither book worked with my DS. But time works ... he's not a bad sleeper now (4 years).

Thanks Youcannevertell. I agree, I love her ideas, but wonder if they'll ever work with ds. He's a hard case.
Lovely, lovely by day. At night... he will ONLY settle if cuddled by me in bed - and still wakes a lot. When did your ds get to be a better sleeper?

Anyone else any NCSS experiences?
