My 10wk ds is a great night sleeper only wakes twice from 6pm to 6am..can't complain about that. However, daytime is another story. He falls asleep nursing just like at night I then lay him down and boomb he is awake!!! I have rocked him to sleep then put him down and the same thing happens. I also have dd who is 2 and therefore can't give all of my time to ds holding him. I am a firm believer in sleep and naps for our little ones. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help.

Since he sleeps well at night I'd recomend planning his daytime naps. At his age two hours is probably long enough for him to be awake, so I'd try to do something like this 6am awake, BF; 715am - BF again; and put into bed 7.45/8amish without feeding to sleep. Usually when I'm trying to get baby onto a daytime routine I do sleeps in the pram and will rock to sleep until they need less and less rocking and then will move to a cot. Or at other times I've layed with the babies to get them to sleep and stay asleep and then gradually stop. I would try and encourage him to sleep for at least one hour but my babies usually sleep for two hours. Or I will do a try at them self settling - not longer than 15 minutes though as I don't want them to get over tired. Usually it take two to three weeks of having daytime sleeps at teh same time to make it work. Hope this helps.

What does pram mean? Do you do the self settling if they wake up early from the nap. I would love to have at least 1.5 hour naps, but usually only get 45-50 minute naps.
