hi all. my 16 wk old girl sleeps all night. she goes down between 9 and 10, then wakes about 7am. i realise that this is what all mums wish to acheive but is this amount of sleep normal in one so young? can only find advice about problem sleep so dont know if this is actually ok! as you can probably tell she is my first child so dont know what is normal!

if she is happy, alert and feeding well during the day then she is doing well.

Is her weight gain steady?

Some babies do sleep well at a young age.

Dd1 slept from 10pm til about 6.30am from 12 weeks.
She is still a v v good sleeper now (8).

dd2, however, rarely slepth through the night, even now at 4 years old she is a difficult sleeper.

Both mine did exactly what you describe, one from 2 wesks, one from 6 weeks and both were BF. They're now 8 & 12 and very healthy.
Some babies just do,enjoy it!

I think it's fine if they are otherwise healthy. My DD has slept 12 hours at night since she was 8 wks old. I've had the other extreme, and believe me, I'll take this option! Enjoy it.
