When did your DC drop their afternoon nap?

I follow the GF routine loosely with my DS, and at 23 weeks he has still been having a 30 minute nap between 4-5pm (despite GF saying they drop this at 3 months ). The last 2 nights my DS has been difficult to settle at 7pm and doesn't seem as tired so I was wondering if he might be ready to drop that nap? (I am hesitant to drop it though as I have noticed that on the days he doesn't get a good afternoon nap, 30 mins, he doesn't sleep through)

What age did your DC drop an afternoon nap and go from 2/3pm - 7pm without a nap?

mine always dropped their morning nap first (prob around a year) and then dropped the afternoon one around 2.5 ish?

but i know bugger all about GF routine, so don't know how many other naps your lo has

I'm not a GF follower but wouldn't be dropping a nap that early on - if you're hesitant about dropping it, my advice would be don't drop it. It's obviously a valuable nap and ds needs it.

BTW - my DS's other naps are:

30 mins between 9-10am
2 hours between 12-2pm

sazzles thats what I was thinking about doing - he would sleep past 9.45 but I have been waking him then so he goes down at 12 but maybe I should make this nap a bit longer and the lunchtime one a bit later.
