dd (8 1/2 months) has just started sleeping throughthe night in the last 2-3 weeks thanks to cc. Needless to say I am very happy about that, my problem now though is that although she used to sleep till 7ish she is now only sleeping till 5.30.I don't get her up till 6.00 but find that she is still tired at this timne. She has bags under her eyes and by 7-7.30 is rubbing her eyes. I put her down for a nap between 8-8.30.
Her daytime sleeps are also suffering- she used to sleep for 45-1/2 hours in morning and 1 1/2- 2 1/2 in arvo.now, 45 ins and she's awake.
How do I get her to sleep later in the morning? Have tried putting her to sleep later - but she gets too tired (bed between 6.30-7pm!)she's not too hot or cold and its still dark till 6.30am at the mo so it isn't light waking her up.
The only thing I can think is unsettling her is that she's recently learned to stand up on furniture etc and is pretty excited about that!
I'm working on the day time sleeps ...please can anyone offer me some help/advice. Thanks (sorry so long)

Cathncait, IMO it seems that because your dd is sleeping through the night she may not need as much sleep during the day. Also your dd is at the age of exploring that big world. It is not unsettling her it is a part of growing up.Everyday there is something new for her to find, learn or understand. You will find your dd will have less sleep during the day as she grows older. I hope this helps. Sorry about sledgy posting but was up until 1.45am with my kids.
