6 week old becoming nocturnal....

My DD2 is nearly 6 weeks and for some reason is now requiring two feeds at night (one at 2am and one at 5am). She is very very sleepy and DH, who gives her a bottle at 11pm, finds it difficult to get more than 2oz down her... consequently she's waking up at 2/2.30am for another feed. Again, I can't get more than a couple of oz before she's completely fast asleep.

The annoying thing is that she goes for 5 hours plus (if I let her) in the day, so I know she's capable of sleeping longer.

Anyone got any suggestions?

My HV suggested feeding, then nappy changing, then offering more (by which time she was slightly more awake, but still sleepy enough to go off again)

Yes I'll try that - although the irony is I don't want to wake her up too much

Thinking about it I think she was overtired last night, she didn't have a proper nap all day and just dozed. I'll try and get her down properly today.
