If dd19mo can escape her grobag even when i pop her in it inside out and then wakes up cold in the early hours do I need to give up and move her from a cot to bed?

Can't you use a duvet / blanket in the cot? We moved DS out of a Grobag and just used a cot-bed duvet in there instead. He didn't move into a big bed til he was 2.3.

I really stressed about moving from the grobag as I thought it was brilliant, but he took to it really well.

I'll have a look for a duvet thanks for the suggestion dread moving from cot wish to avoid it for as long as possible.

Do you put it on back to front, with the zip doing up her back? It works for us ......

Now can you help me with my car seat escapee?

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/03/2009 19:05

You could take her out of grobag and put her in a fleecy sleepsuit (over pjs) with a blanket/duvet for her to use if she's cold. Both my DCs have been in cots with pillow and duvet for ages before they moved into a bed

The zip is on the side! Car seat one hmm heard a story where a mum told ds that the garda (irish police) would take her away if he got outof seat again and that stopped him

Probably wrong on a whole heap of levels but worked for them

Bummer, buy her one with the zip up the front then put it on back to front.

I've threatened him with the police on numerous occassions. He's not convinced. Perhaps he thinks he can pay them off.

Try SAS threat maybe? We haven't hit the car seat one yet but I expect since de was 8 mo she has been obsessedwith straps etc so I believe it is ahead

Bribary any good?

I put DS in vest, Pj's and then fleecy babygrow over the top. Put blanket in cot in case he gets cold in night too

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 27/03/2009 09:33

I second the fleecy sleep-suit. It's good if they wriggle out of the blanket / duvet.

We just ditched the bag and went for a blanket
