dd2 is 18 months old and has reverted back to her old habits of waking every 2.5 hours in the night following an illness a few weeks ago...
dh and I are both knackered and fed up with her antics and desperate to start a cc type method with her which we used successfully before she was ill, but now she has a cold and a bit of a cough. Will it still work if she's not 100%???

btw... she wakes up in the night for drinks of water in her beaker... when she gets that and is tucked back into her covers she goes back to sleep generally with no problem.

We had the same with dd about a month ago (she was 17 months at the time) we did a sort of mix between p/up p/down and CC, staying in there for a few mins the first time then leaving for a couple of mins, then back in for a few mins then leaving for five mins then after that just popping in and calming her and leaving again as soon as she was calm slowly staying out of the room for longer, the first night took about 1 1/2 hours of screaming, but the next night it was 15 mins and after that she settled back to her routine

The trick is to just not give in, it's bloody hard but it works
