Night Terrors????

DD1 and DD2 have been waking about 2hrs after going to sleep crying and screaming. (DD2 did for 2 nights, and now DD1 for the last 2 nights)

I dont know what it is! I thought maybe something they had eaten, but both have eaten normal meals today with little snacks.

They are crying and crying, but are denying any pain/dreams/hot/cold etc

Is this normal for night terrors?! Both DDs barely seem awake whilst doing this and need to be shaken to come round fully.

HELP!

During night terrors, cjildren generally seem very awake, could they be coming down with something? My sister has them as a child, until my mum discovered it was benely cough syrup causing them .

Had sorry, not has.

could be, as DS1 always had his around two hours after he went to bed.

strange that they are both started doing it at the same time though.
are they both more tired than usual?

if it is night terrors, the advice is to not wake them. i used to find stroking his hair and talking to him was enough to bring him out of it without waking him completely.

it's not nice though is it.
mucho sympathy.

Lurks with interest as dd1 is having these....

Its very weird!

They are both very tired, its been a hard long 2 weeks for us all.

Hoping it will go as soon as it arrived, but they seem so upset its heartbreaking.

It just seems that a cuddle and a quick drink in bed are settling them enough to go back to sleep.
