Hi All Just curious I have an 8 month old girl and wondered whether she will need daytime naps during the day? Generally how many hours a day if so?

It varies I think from child to child. My ds has been having just one nap a day from about 7 or 8 months, he usually has a good two hour sleep from 11am to 1pm. He loves his sleep though, he does 12 hours at night too!

My 12mo has 2: 9.30 for up to an hour (although I often wake him after 30 mins to go out),and 12.30-2.30 ish.

He'll probably drop the earlier nap soon though.

At 8 months, dd was having 2 naps a day - one about 45 mins and one about an hour and half. She dropped the morning one at around 1 year old and now just has about 2 hours after lunch
