dd 21 mths has started waking 5.45/6.00am, I know some of you may think lucky me but when she "normally" sleeps until 7.00am it is really hard work. Her day time nap became a bit eratic and she was taking ages to go off, have now got that back on track and am only letting her nap for 1 hour and not after 3pm regardless.

Has anybody got any ideas, really don't want to drop the daytime nap if at all possible, it's also a bit of a viscious circle - when she wakes so early she couldn't manage without a nap.

Please help!

Is she waking because she is hungry? Maybe try giving her half a weetabix with hot milk just before bed.
I shouldnt really be one to comment as my dc (6 and 7) wake up just after 6 every morning, seems I have early risers! They also as babies used to sleep 7 till 7 :0

not sure about the hunger, it's worth giving that a try, thanks. DD was a 7 till 7 too, suppose I might have to get my head around the early riser bit!!

You can buy a clock with a bunny face on, you set the time the bunny goes to sleep and wakes up. I had this for mine when they were 2 and 3.
I set it to wake at 7, and that this is an exceptable time to get up! They did used to get up, but they wouldplay untillthe bunny woke up,it took time to adjust, and maybe your little one is a little bit too little but worth bearing in mind! try googling bunny clock.
Mine now play and no not to disturb me till 7 unless it is important - like, mummy, i need you to put this lego wheel on, its important lol!
By the way I am millionaire, just had a name change.
