We are moving our wriggly and rather large 13mth old DS into a sngle bed with bed guards in the next few weeks, he keeps bashing himself in his cot as he moves around so much and is very tall, so we have no option.
The thing is, is he Ok to have a quilt now, or should we wait? I'm petrified he will suffocate himself!

if you think he is wriggly enough to move the quilt off his face etc if he is hot, then dont worry. my dd had a quilt at this age, although not a quilt and cover (ifswim) that gets too tangled

hope he likes his new bed!

I moved dd into a toddler bed at 11 mths with a sheet and quilt - hv said it would be fine. Shes never had any problems.
Also its a good idea to put some pillows at the side of the bed just in case!!

I know, I am getting very nervous! I'm getting bedguards too and will just have to hope he doesn't spend all night running round the room!

my ds had a quilt and cover from 12mths when he moved into a bed but he is very mobile so able to move cover off etc.
