Quick question about swaddling

My DD is 8 and a half weeks and when I first tried swaddling when she was tiny she hated it. But last night after a week of her getting progressively worse at going down to sleep and waking more often during the night and earlier in the morning, I tried it again and it worked like a charm - without her complaining at all. A miracle.

My question is how long can you swaddle a baby for? Is it unhealthy for them to be all constrained?

TIA
